Rallying comes back to Oberon
First car is due to finish at about 6:00pm and there will be dinner and prize presentation in the evening. Spectators are welcome in the service park at any time to watch cars being refuelled or repaired (but please observe the “No smoking” rule throughout the park). The event will run in Hampton, Jenolan, Vulcan and Essington State Forests, in some cases going over roads that have not been used in a rally for 30 years. All forests are easily accessible from Oberon and spectator instructions will be available at the Leagues Club to guide you to the best spots to see the action. As the rally is part of the MTA NSW Rally Championship plus several other championship series a good variety of competing vehicles is assured. With 15 entries two weeks before the event (including a former Australian Rally Champion and other championship winners) there will be no shortage of fast and exciting action on roads which are in excellent condition for fast driving. If you have never been to a forest rally before this event is a perfect introduction to the sport. If you are a long time fan this rally promises good entertainment in a convenient location.
