Teaching others and passing on skills is one of the best things anyone can do. One of the most satisfying things I have ever done is to teach a group of profoundly deaf adults about how to use and care for their home computers. Communication both ways was via a signing interpreter, and I felt that I learnt as much as the students did, although what I learnt was different.

Here are some of the places I've taught at:

  • Australian Careers Business College
    • 2007 - Various classes for students working towards qualifications as paralegals, accountants and general business administration.
    • 2008 - Cert IV in IT
    • 2008 - Cert II in IT (Year 11 TVET class from a local private school), Statement of Attainment in IT (profoundly deaf adult students)
    • 2010 - Cert II and III in IT
